Alongside online language education and study abroad consultancy, the school sets out to give students more than a language course: a rigorous, high-quality and sustainable learning experience.
Our Teaching Staff
Teachers who graduated from Boğaziçi University, Marmara University, Middle East Technical University (METU), Hacettepe University, Istanbul University, Bilkent University, Ankara University and Mersin University, with bachelor’s degrees in English Language Teaching, English Linguistics, English Language and Literature, and American Culture and Literature.
Lessons With Native Speakers
Study with American, British and Irish teachers whose first language is English, and get used to different accents and to how the language is really used.
Six Languages Besides English
German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Korean, taught by specialists who graduated from Ankara University and Istanbul University.
Müge Yılmaz
Müge Yılmaz graduated from the Department of English Linguistics in 2015. She spent 10 years working as an English teacher and education coordinator in private schools. Drawing on her experience in education and her approach to language teaching, she founded New York Linguistics Academy in 2024.
New York Linguistics Academy was founded with a vision of bringing together Türkiye’s best English teachers to provide high-quality, trusted language education supported by excellent resources and materials and focused on students’ real needs.
Today, NYLA’s core aim is not only to teach English, but to offer students a truly distinguished educational experience and make English a powerful part of their lives, education and careers.

Our mission: to give students a rigorous, high-quality and personalised language education, so that they build their skills with confidence and use the language effectively in everyday, academic and professional life. We believe every student arrives with a different goal and different needs.
We want the course to be more than the hours spent in class — an experience in which students take an active part, receive regular feedback, put what they learn into practice and can see their progress for themselves.
Our aim is that students who have studied elsewhere without getting the results they wanted finally receive the teaching they need, and make real, lasting progress.

How We Teach
NYLA is an online language school offering private and group lessons to students in Türkiye and abroad who want to improve their language skills.
Placement and Levels
Our programmes are divided into seven levels from A1 to C2. What you should be able to do at each level is clear from the outset, and progress is measured regularly.

Comprehensive Materials
Everything needed during the course is provided by the school. Oxford titles are used as the main coursebook, Cambridge titles for grammar, and teaching notes written in-house by NYLA.
Professional Teaching Staff
Specialist teachers who graduated from leading Turkish universities, with the option of lessons with foreign teachers at B2, C1 and C2.
Assessment and Certification
In-class assessments and exams follow the Oxford examination system. Students who complete a level successfully receive a NYLA certificate.
From Türkiye To the World
Our vision is to become a respected, trusted and forward-looking name in language education in Türkiye and internationally, and to grow NYLA into a global learning ecosystem that accompanies students through their entire language journey.
We see language learning not as a series of lessons but as a bridge between cultures and between people. In time we intend to bring our online teaching together with mobile technology, digital learning tools, course materials and our own branded products in a single ecosystem, so that students can reach us at every stage of their studies.
In the long run we want NYLA to be a strong education brand recognised internationally — one that brings together language teaching, international education consultancy and digital learning technology, reaching out from Türkiye to the world.
